Instead of traditional fighting, players must coach and guide a team of “Beasties” through volleyball matches. These Beasties, resembling adorable creatures, can learn different abilities, which are crucial for winning matches. The game blends sports mechanics with creature abilities, providing a fun and strategic twist on both genres.
You start your journey in the Rustile Nature Preserve, where you meet your first Beasties and learn the basics of the game. As you progress, the story unfolds, with the need to save the nature preserve becoming central to your mission. Your goal is to assemble a team of Beasties, train them, and rise to the top of the Beastieball league, all while unlocking new abilities and strategies for your matches. The game features 2v2 turn-based volleyball, where you take turns volleying the ball and using various Beastie abilities to either attack, defend, or heal your team. Victory can be achieved by either knocking out your opponents or scoring points with well-placed volleys
