Start the Game: After launching ULTRAKILL, players are greeted with a level selection screen. Choose your desired difficulty and jump into the campaign or test your skills in challenges.

Movement: The game features fast and fluid movement mechanics. Use the WASD keys to move and the mouse to aim and shoot. Use the spacebar to jump, shift to dash, and control your movement with both precision and speed. Mastering the movement system is crucial to surviving tougher enemies.

Combat: Once you start facing enemies, your primary goal is to stay mobile while dealing with threats. Different weapons work best for different scenarios—use the shotgun for close-range mayhem, the machine gun for steady damage, and the rocket launcher for massive destruction. Combine the use of weapons with dodging and jumping to avoid taking hits.

Upgrades: Throughout the game, you’ll find opportunities to upgrade your weapons and abilities. Make sure to experiment with different upgrades to see which combinations work best for your playstyle.

Description:

ULTRAKILL is a fast-paced, ultra-violent retro first-person shooter developed by Arsi “Hakita” Patala and published by New Blood Interactive. It blends the frantic action and visual style of classic 1990s shooters, like DOOM and Quake, with modern mechanics and over-the-top violence. Released in 2020, ULTRAKILL is known for its fluid movement system, chaotic gunplay, and emphasis on high-octane action.

Game Features:
Fast-Paced Combat: The core gameplay of ULTRAKILL revolves around relentless, high-speed combat. Players navigate through intricately designed levels while blasting enemies using an arsenal of unique and powerful weapons. Movement is a key component of the game, with players able to dash, slide, and leap around the map, evading incoming fire while raining destruction down on foes.

Weapons and Upgrades: ULTRAKILL offers a wide range of weapons, from shotguns and machine guns to rocket launchers and more exotic options. Each weapon comes with its own distinct playstyle and is upgradeable to increase its damage, speed, and effects. A key mechanic is the game’s “blood fuel” system, where players regenerate health by performing kills and picking up health orbs dropped by enemies.

Vibrant Visuals and Aesthetic: ULTRAKILL is drenched in vibrant, neon-colored visuals that invoke the 90s era of gaming, using pixelated textures and exaggerated violence to make the experience both nostalgic and fun. The art style is highly stylized, and the action sequences are intentionally over-the-top, often invoking a sense of chaos and absurdity.

Challenging Difficulty: ULTRAKILL is known for its challenging difficulty levels. Enemies come in waves, each more difficult than the last, with the player needing to manage their health, ammo, and positioning as they fight through swarms of demons, angels, and machines. Players need both reflexes and strategy to survive the increasingly difficult stages.

Blood-Soaked Aesthetics: The game takes cues from hyperviolent action films and older shooters, with blood and gore in abundance. Enemies explode into gory showers when defeated, and the pace of combat keeps the adrenaline high. The game’s design emphasizes the feeling of raw power as players obliterate anything in their path.

Soundtrack: ULTRAKILL features an energetic, heavy metal-inspired soundtrack that complements its action-packed gameplay. The music intensifies as the action picks up, adding to the intensity of the experience.
